What does March 25th mean to you?

For Matt Logelin, March 24 and 25, 2008 were, in his words, “the saddest, most horrific moment of his life.”

Why?

Matt lost his wife Liz, 27 hours after she gave birth to their daughter Madeline.

Matt started a blog, matt, liz, and madeline, a couple of weeks before this happened, and continues to post on it to this day.  Read the posts at “if you haven’t been here before” for more details on his story, and please read “a warning” if you aren’t sure if you will like Matt’s content.

Personally, I found Matt’s blog last summer, when my wife and I were expecting our first child and I was seeking out other Dad bloggers.  I can tell you that Matt’s posts will make you laugh, cry, get angry, be thankful, and just think about your life in different ways.

If you benefit personally from Matt’s blog, then please then consider donating to the Liz Logelin FoundationThe Liz Logelin Foundation was established to assist families who find themselves in the heartbreaking, catastrophic situation of having lost a spouse, life-partner, and parent.

I’ve donated, and I encourage you to do so too.
