Thanks to a tip from Mark Cuban, I’ve discovered another tool to use for monitoring trends and conducting trends research: Icerocket Big Buzz Search.
Here’s how it works:
- Type the idea, term, etc that you want to see current trends on and hit the Search button
- Icerocket provides you with a list of blogs, Tweets from Twitter, FriendFeed items, Videos, and Photos related to your term
- The results are displayed in chronological order, with the “freshness” listed to the left of each item, like this example of a blog posted 56 minutes ago:
